Synopsis
"Using his own revisionist staging of the Richard Strauss opera as a jumpingoff point, Egoyan (Remember, 40th) interweaves a behind-the-scenes narrative into an intense psychodrama. Asked by her late mentor to oversee a Salome revival, young director Jeanine is eager to stay faithful to the original yet strives to make a few tweaks of her own.
