Synopsis
Premiering in Un Certain Regard, where it became the first Mongolian film to play in Cannes’ official selection, this heartfelt and spirited dramedy traces the growing pains of a teenager living in Ulaanbaatar. Poor but prideful, a gifted physics student is torn between his dream of earning a scholarship at a science competition and the responsibility of providing for his younger siblings during the harsh winter after his alcoholic mother is gone.
