Synopsis
Three generations of fiercely independent women from the same wildly unconventional family collide in Pedro Freire’s heartbreaking ode to his own mother, the late actress Malu Rocha. Yara de Novaes is sensational as the eccentric and mercurial Malu, a retired actress who lives with her mother in a rundown shack deep in the favella of Rio de Janeiro, and dreams of opening her own theatre.
