Synopsis
Kenopsia is the forlorn feeling that overwhelms us when in freshly vacated spaces. Québécois iconoclast Denis Côté brings a documentarian’s eye and a droll philosopher’s sense of humour to his latest concoction: a Beckettian tale about a slickly dressed guardian, who wanders the halls of what first appears to be a dilapidated hospital. She engages in phone conversations with a mysterious interlocutor, ponders the clanging sounds above and looks out for fellow wanderers. A portrait of the liminal spaces we inhabit, the transience of being, and everything we leave behind.
